Sonnetry is a realm, an extension of our founder Beth’s imagination. An unfolding world where fabric becomes a verse and garments become poetry. After many years of cultivating The Pansy Garden, Beth felt the call of a new chapter, a new challenge, and a new dreamscape. From that longing, Sonnetry was born.

Many of you may know us through The Pansy Garden, our founder Beth’s vintage sanctuary, where true 1960s and 1970s treasures are unearthed and rehomed. After graduating with a degree in fashion design, Beth launched the Pansy Garden in 2019, following years spent haunting vintage markets across England. From the beginning, it has been a mirror of her vision, and it continues to inspire her creations today.

In 2022, under the Made by Pansy label, Beth released her very first dress design, a quiet beginning that soon blossomed into something far greater. Over the course of three transformative years, her creations journeyed across oceans, reaching every continent and weaving themselves into wardrobes and lives far beyond her studio walls. By the summer of 2025, with Made by Pansy firmly established, Beth set her sights on something more ambitious, a world of its own, a place she called Sonnetry.

At its heart, Sonnetry is a celebration of Beth’s enduring love of vintage fashion, particularly the late 1960s and early 1970s, where expression, femininity, and artistry intertwined. It is also an ode to history itself, a weaving together of eras and influences into something deeply personal. She calls it Dress Poetry, garments that speak in rhythm and cadence, inspired by what she cherishes most, yet always translated through her own vision.

During her years nurturing Made by Pansy, Beth came to understand that fashion, at its truest, is more than making beautiful things. It is a penchant craft of tradition, a lineage carried through hands, and a sacred art form in its own right. With Sonnetry, she continues to champion the principles of slow fashion, just like her most idolised designers of bygone eras, an approach rooted in care, patience, and reverence. Every piece is designed and made thoughtfully, in her hometown in North East England by a small team of independent makers, where Beth is fully immersed in the process from start to finish.
